St. Charles Bulletin for July 15,
2001
15th Sunday in Ordinary Time
This bulletin also included a Capital Campaign (Build the Spirit) Newsletter
FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners:
Thanks for your reception to Fr. Jocelyn and Fr. Marquis during their
recent visit to St. Charles. They left us with their gratitude for the
assistance we have provided to Cavaillon
and Gros Marin, especially for sponsoring the education of students,
and they offered a list of projects that they would like to complete with
your help. A Haiti newsletter is in preparation that will detail these
needs. I know that you will continue to reach out in love and solidarity.
With this bulletin, you will receive an update on your increasing support
for the Capital Campaign to build a Community
Center. Over a hundred additional households pledged their commitment.
I trust that many others are considering how they can help. Some parishioners
have shared with me their desire to share their tax rebate with our project.
Merci, Gracias, Thanks!

Ministry
Man
is more than the sum of his genetic inheritance: the biological cannot
be separated from the spiritual, family and social dimensions without
incurring the serious risk of suppressing the person's very nature
and making him a mere object of analysis.

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE-AGE STUDENTS!
Have you ever wondered why on earth you are here? It's an important question
to ask because your key to happiness is finding the answer and following
it throughout your life. Q: if everybody wants to be happy, then why isn't
everybody happy? A: They fail to understand who they are and mistake happiness
as a result. Each one of us was created for specific purpose in life and
it only is in fulfilling this purpose that we are happy. Where you end
up in life depends on where you decide to go and the choices you make
now on how you are going to get there. If you are between the age of 15-22,
please make plans to be at St. Charles "Call of the Heart" vocations
retreat on Sunday, July 29th. If you have any questions or to sign up
to attend, please call Kevin at 703-527-5500 or Bernardo at 703-527-5500,
ext. 13 if you perfer to speak in Spanish.
