St. Charles Bulletin for 10-29-2000

29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

from the pastor...FROM OUR PASTOR

Dear St. Charles Parishioners:

Last weekend, we celebrated Oktoberfest and the Capital Campaign. Thanks to all who made our Oktoberfest a wonderful event. Thanks also to the Capital Campaign volunteers and the hundred new pledging supporters of our Parish Community Center. Join them!

We celebrate youth and honor our seniors this week. World Youth Day provides an occasion for the parish to recognize the special challenges and the exceptional gifts of St. Charles Way and On The Way members. Anne Marie Kaufmann, Teresa Reyes and their volunteers and catechists deserve our praise and support. Let us find ways as families and as a parish to offer our youth the opportunity to exercise their leadership and talent.

Our Senior Adults come together to mark All Saints Day (Nov. 1) with a special Noon Mass and Seniors Tea with the Pastor. We go on without Joe Hagarty’s jokes, but we keep his spirit of joy, faith and friendship.

You will not want to miss our Children’s celebration of St. Charles (and the other minor saints) on Nov. 4 at the 5 PM Mass.

From cradle to grave, our faith grows!

Peace,

Rev. Gerry Creedon

P.S. First Monday Adult Ed. "Multicultural Church" with Fr. Joe Donders is a must!
