Dear St. Charles Parishioners:

I thank our Catholic neighbor Marymount for letting our parish use their computer facilities recently for an Internet training class facilitated by Larry Prikockis and the Web Team. I also thank our Web Team for their service to St. Charles. Our Jubilee Booklet from our Community Building Committee/CAFÉ has been well received and used by so many. Thanks to Jean Sweeney and all her willing writers.

Sign up for the Haiti Fete/Mardi Gras on March 4.

Respect LifeMinistry

Elderly people help us to see human affairs with greater wisdom, because life's vicissitudes have brought them knowledge and maturity. They are the guardians of our collective memory, and thus privileged interpreters of that body of ideals and common values which support and guide life in society. ... Precisely because of their mature experience, the elderly are able to offer young people precious advice and guidance.

- John Paul II, "Letter to the Elderly," 1999

A NEW WEB RECORD

Last week the parish web site set a new traffic record when we averaged nearly 200 visitors each day to www.stcharleschurch.org. Was it the SweetiEmail feature? The new Children of God's Love page where you can submit prayer requests on-line? Maybe our Web Class graduates told their friends about us or perhaps you were checking out our salute to Black History Month. Whatever your reason for keeping in touch, the Web Team thanks you for your support. Keep connected to your parish by visiting our web site this week.

  • Last Week’s Collection: $13,859.00
  • Last Week’s Tithe of $1,385.90 was for St. Charles Outreach.
  • This Week’s Tithe is for the Circle of Caring & Health.
  • Next Week’s Tithe is for our sister parishes in Cavaillon & Gros Marin, Haiti.
