Adult Faith Formation

“Learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:10

St. Charles Parish offers continuing formation in the faith for all adults through regular series of talks and through other opportunities for growing in understanding of our beliefs.

SERIES: THE HUMAN PERSON

8:00-9:00pm on Mondays, Benedict Hall

The winter season of Adult Faith Formation courses will focus on the theme of The Human Person. The question of what it means to be human is one that societies have wrestled with throughout the ages, yet the times we live in are presenting challenges to our assumptions about humanity in unprecedented ways. This series of talks will draw from the deep roots of Catholic theology, philosophy, and spirituality to propose a conception of The Human Person grounded in the God of Creation and the Revelation of Jesus.

PARISH BOOK DISCUSSION

Quarterly, with monthly Discussion Nights

New in 2018, St. Charles will host ongoing parish book discussions to help us grow together as a community and promote dialogue on important topics. A new book will be chosen for each quarter of the year, with monthly teaching and discussion nights hosted at the church. Come be a part of the conversation as we explore our faith through engaging and provocative writings, new and old.
