Tithing

What is tithing?

Tithing is committing to giving financially to the Church.

Why do we tithe?

There are many reasons why we tithe. All of them are beneficial to ourselves as well as the Church.

In giving, we help the church carry out its day-to-day functions. Electricity, water, materials, and staff are all needed to carry out the mission of Christ and His Church. We would like to make sure the church is open to all people at no cost, so we ask that those who can to make a commitment to support the church regularly through the offertory collection, extraordinary gifts, or planned giving.

Tithing not only helps the Church, but it also helps our faith. Tithing is one way we show dependence on God. It is an acknowledgement of trust that God will take care of us.
